In the spirit of our honourary citizen, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, I congratulate the organizers of the 5K Run for Enlightenment. I am happy to endorse this event, as I understand the funds raised will be shared between the temple projects to promote Tibetan Buddhism and the Sunnybrook Foundation for Cancer Care. Both are causes which I wholeheartedly support.

There is hardly a person in Canada today who has not been touched by cancer and I urge the Tibetan community, and indeed everyone, to join me in supporting this worthy cause.
