The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is one of the leading addiction and mental health organizations in North America and Canada’s largest addiction and mental health teaching hospital. CAMH provides clinical care, conducts groundbreaking research – leading to better treatments – promotes health, influences public policy, and gives expert training to health care professionals and scientists.

The CAMH Foundation raises funds in support of CAMH to help improve the lives of those who face mental illness and addiction, and to help create communities in which people can access support and thrive. The support of donors makes possible:

  • Outstanding clinical care: In 2007-2008, there were over 22,000 individual clients at CAMH and over 400,000 outpatient visits to CAMH.
  • Groundbreaking research to improve quality of life for people worldwide.
  • Best possible training to health professionals across North America, including training 25% of Canada’s psychiatrists.
  • Breaking down the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction.
  • Transforming CAMH’s Queen Street site into an amazing "urban village".

CAMH offers hope and solutions for those who face mental illness and addiction. These illnesses affect all of us, either through personal experience or that of someone we love.

Together, we are transforming lives.
